Terms and conditions
Terms for online tuition, bookings and use of our learning resources. Please read these before paying.
Last updated: 31 October 2026
Who you are booking with
Learn Computing, a sole trader business operated by Faisel Shuib in England, UK, trading as CS Mastery Academy. Our main contact for bookings, cancellations, refunds, complaints and privacy is admin@learncomputing.online. These terms apply to new bookings made from 31 October 2026; an existing booking keeps the terms agreed when it was made.
Business and correspondence address: Office 2, Upper Floor, 225 Finney Lane, Heald Green, Cheadle, SK8 3PX, United Kingdom. Our main contact remains admin@learncomputing.online.
Who may book and what we provide
A parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over must make bookings for a child and remain our main contact. An adult learner may book for themselves. Tuition is live online teaching through Google Meet. Lessons last one hour unless agreed otherwise. The booking summary identifies the course, year group, dates, number of lessons and total price. Check these carefully and contact us to correct an error before paying.
Lessons are not recorded for safeguarding reasons. Class slides and worksheets are available on a student’s request, subject to any third-party copyright restrictions. Materials support the booked teaching and do not replace attendance. Tell us about practical accessibility adjustments before booking without sending unnecessary medical information.
Prices, packages and payment
All website prices and payments are in pounds sterling (GBP). The total shown before payment includes the charges payable to us for the selected lessons. A four-lesson package includes the displayed 5% discount. A teaching-week package is a one-off purchase, not a subscription or an automatic renewal. GCSE group bookings include the Saturday and Sunday sessions shown in the summary; check every date in a package.
Stripe processes checkout and offers the methods eligible for your transaction. Wallets, bank debits and bank transfers may have different eligibility and processing times. Your bank may charge its own currency-conversion or transfer fees; these are not charges set by us. Use only the transfer details and reference supplied by Stripe for your checkout.
Reservation and confirmation
Selecting a session alone does not reserve it. Starting checkout places a temporary calendar hold of approximately 30 minutes. If checkout expires without being completed, the place is released. A payment submitted by Bacs Direct Debit or bank transfer may remain pending while funds clear; a submitted mandate or transfer instruction is not a successful payment.
A paid booking is confirmed only when payment is verified and the booking is marked confirmed. While a delayed payment is pending we retain the reservation for up to 14 days. Contact us before the first lesson if it is still pending; do not attend on the assumption that an unpaid booking is confirmed. If payment arrives after a reservation has been released, we review availability and agree a suitable replacement or refund rather than automatically double-booking. Keep your booking reference and save a copy of the booking summary and these terms. Email us if you need a written copy or confirmation.
Your 14-day cancellation right
For online tuition bookings, you may cancel the contract without giving a reason during the 14 days after the day the contract is made. Email admin@learncomputing.online with your booking reference and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You may use the cancellation form below, but it is not compulsory. Our ordinary 48-hour notice rule does not override this right.
If you expressly request that teaching starts during those 14 days and then cancel, you may be charged only a proportionate amount for teaching actually supplied before you told us you were cancelling. The calculation uses the agreed package price and the proportion delivered. You lose the cancellation right during that period only once the whole contracted service has been fully performed, after your express request and acknowledgement. Booking a date alone is not treated as giving up your cancellation right.
Where a refund is due under this cancellation right, we make it within 14 days after being informed, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee. We do not charge for early teaching where the legal conditions for doing so have not been met.
Starting lessons within 14 days
If the selected lessons begin within the 14-day cancellation period, the booking form asks you separately to expressly request that early start and acknowledge the proportionate-payment and full-performance rules above. If you do not wish to request an early start, choose lessons beginning after the cancellation period or email us to arrange them. Your data-protection rights and any consent choices remain separate from accepting these booking terms.
Cancellations and rescheduling outside the cooling-off period
Request cancellation or rescheduling by emailing admin@learncomputing.online at least 48 hours before the affected class starts, quoting the booking reference and class date. The notice period is measured in elapsed hours, using the scheduled UK local time (Europe/London). Requests received at least 48 hours in advance can be rescheduled subject to availability, or cancelled for a refund of the unused affected lessons at their original discounted or undiscounted price.
For requests made with less than 48 hours’ notice, or non-attendance, contact us promptly. Any amount retained must be fair and reflect the actual net loss caused by the cancellation, allowing for costs saved and whether the place is filled; it cannot exceed the affected lesson’s agreed price. There is no automatic loss of the whole package and we do not retrospectively remove a package discount. We consider exceptional circumstances and explain any deduction. Your statutory rights always take priority.
If we cancel or there is a technical problem
If we cannot provide a booked lesson, we offer an agreed replacement or a refund for the affected lesson. You do not have to accept credit instead of a refund to which you are entitled. If our technical problem materially prevents teaching, tell us promptly so we can put it right. A learner needs a suitable device, internet connection and access to Google Meet; contact us before booking if access is uncertain in your location. We consider connection problems fairly and do not exclude rights relating to a service we fail to provide with reasonable care and skill.
Conduct, safeguarding and learning outcomes
Please use respectful language, join using the agreed access arrangements and do not share meeting links with others. Neither learners nor other attendees may record, photograph or distribute a lesson or another learner’s personal information. A parent or guardian should know when the child is attending and be reachable. If serious disruption or a safeguarding concern requires us to pause or end a session, we explain the next steps to the responsible adult and deal fairly with any unused fees.
We provide tuition with reasonable care and skill. Progress and examination results depend on several factors, so we do not guarantee a grade, pass, admission or particular outcome. We are independent of examination boards; named qualifications identify the courses supported and do not imply endorsement.
Your rights, complaints and responsibility
If something goes wrong, email admin@learncomputing.online; see our complaints procedure. You retain the remedies available under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction where the law provides them.
Nothing in these terms or our disclaimer excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, failure to use reasonable care and skill, or another liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not use a blanket “no refunds” rule. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without removing mandatory protections or court rights available where a consumer lives.
Website, resources and changes
Use the website lawfully and do not interfere with its security or another visitor’s access. You may use supplied learning materials for your own study or your child’s study. Obtain permission before selling, publishing or redistributing them; third-party materials keep their own licence conditions. We correct errors and may update future services and terms, but changes do not retrospectively alter an agreed booking without agreement. Read the privacy policy and cookie notice for information handling.
