Safeguarding and online lessons
Our arrangements for professional contact, safe online tuition and raising concerns.

Parents, contact and session access
Learn Computing / CS Mastery Academy provides live tuition through Google Meet. A parent or guardian must book for an under-18 learner, know when lessons take place and remain a reachable main contact. Tuition arrangements and concerns should be sent to admin@learncomputing.online. The inbox is not an emergency service.
Use the agreed professional communication channels. Do not share meeting links publicly, bring an unagreed attendee into a session or use private social-media messaging as a substitute for the academy’s contact route. Students should use an appropriate setting and respectful behaviour; tell the tutor promptly about a concern.
No recording
Lessons are not recorded for safeguarding purposes. Participants must not make their own recordings, screenshots or photographs of a lesson or another participant. Slides and worksheets can be requested by the student without creating a recording. In a group lesson, others may see or hear what a learner shares, so avoid disclosing personal or sensitive information in the group.
Raising a concern
For a non-urgent concern about the academy, email admin@learncomputing.online with “Safeguarding concern” in the subject and safe contact details. Include a brief outline rather than detailed sensitive information about a child. If a child is in immediate danger in the UK, call 999. For suspected abuse or neglect, contact the relevant local authority’s children’s services or the police; outside the UK contact the appropriate local emergency or child-protection service.
If the concern is about the tutor or you do not feel safe reporting to the academy, use those independent services directly. See GOV.UK’s child-abuse reporting guidance. No website statement substitutes for appropriate safeguarding checks, training, risk assessment and reporting procedures.
